Open Mic.
There are 3 artists I can’t get enough of lately {thanks to Pandora}, and I figured I’d just share them with everybody since they are all so amazing and soulful! You can let me know who you like best… or if you like any of them at all. :) I’m all about artists that sound great – or better – live. In fact, before I buy tickets to a concert I check YouTube and make sure they can actually sing!
First up… Tyrone Wells sings “Sea Breeze.”
If you like Tyrone, check out “Patience” as well.
Next… Amos Lee with “Keep it Loose, Keep it Tight.”
My favorite song of his is “Sympathize,” but I couldn’t find a video of him singing it. :( If you like this, check out “Shout Out Loud,” “Arms of a Woman,” and “Southern Girl.” Or just listen to everything he writes.
And… Ray Lamontagne sings “Trouble.” {Don’t be confused… this isn’t from the 70s, it’s actually recent!}
And I don’t have any more songs of his to request because I have to listen to more myself! :)
So…. what did you think? Anybody new you like? Have you liked any of these people for a while? I love hearing new music and discovering new artists… I just wanted to introduce some awesome artists to you in case you were the same as me. Enjoy! :)
And of course I can’t go without mentioning Mraz…. Here’s a funny video of him singing our favorite childhood song!
I prefer to listen to Chris sing ;>)
First of all, I subscribe to RSS feeds of your site, so I get constant updates. Second of all, please do a freebie day in NYC. Third of all, Ray LaMontagne is the best thing on the planet! You should check out his new cd if you haven’t already. I want to marry him! Jason Mraz…please, please…he’s on constant rotation on my ipod. Amos Lee…sit down…please, sit down and sit back and enjoy Mr. Lee–I’m in love with him. Fourth of all, I would add Matt Nathanson to the list.
